The Power of a Master Mind Group

Napoleon Hill, author of Think and Grow Rich, first defined the mastermind as a “coordination of knowledge and effort, in a spirit of harmony, between two or more people, for the attainment of a definite purpose.”

As you probably know, Napoleon Hill’s mentor in many ways was Andrew Carnegie. It was actually Mr. Carnegie who told Hill about the awesome power of a Master Mind group.

Andrew Carnegie’s Master Mind group consisted of a about fifty people. Of course, since Mr. Carnegie lived and made his fortune in the late 1800’s, his group had no women. Imagine how successful he would have been if he had a few women in his Master Mind group!

What are the key benefits of a Master Mind group? And why did Mr. Carnegie attribute the accumulation of his vast wealth to his Master Mind group? Here are a few ideas to consider…

1.You have a group of people, literally on call, to help you succeed.

2. Usually your Master Mind group has no vested interest in your success.
They simply want you to succeed. Thus offering you unbiased advice and encouragement.

3.The group holds you accountable for achieving what you state you want to achieve.

4.Your Master Mind group can give you the benefit of their experiences and unique thoughts.

5.I’s an old adage, but so true: Two heads are better than one!

In Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill even went so far as to say something unexplainable happens when two or more people get together as a Master Mind. He said: “No two minds ever come together without, thereby, creating a third, invisible, intangible force which may be likened to a third mind.”

I strongly urge you to form some type of Master Mind group. The success you achieve as a result will be amazing! And a Master Mind group is not hard to create. You can go about it in one of two ways:

You can create a team of people with the sole purpose of supporting you in your quest. This is not selfish act at all. In fact, you would be surprised at the response you’d get when you ask people to help you, especially if your quest is bold and exciting! People generally love to be a part of, and contribute to, a winning team. Mr. Carnegie’s group of 50 men came together solely to aid him in creating a steel empire.

The second way to go about it is to find others that are on a similar quest. Perhaps it’s other CEO’s looking to grow their companies to similar sizes. Or, it could be other online entrepreneurs you form a group with, if that’s your thing.

The format is whatever you agree on. You could meet in person, by phone, or online. And you could meet as often as you like.

I belong to a couple Master Mind groups. One group I actually Chair and we meet every month for a full day. Talk about power! Another Master Mind group I’m a part of is focused on a certain type of online business we are all involved in. We meet once a week for an hour and our ability to accomplish objectives is phenomenal.

The bottom line is always the same, whatever you decided to do, just do it! I know you’ll be pleased with the results!

As Napoleon Hill said:
“Analyze the record of any man who has accumulated a great fortune, and many of those who have accumulated modest fortunes, and you will find that they have either consciously, or unconsciously employed the ‘Master Mind’ principle.”

There’s no reason why you can’t do the same!

To your continued success!
